The Gites
All the gites are built in the local yellow sandstone and date back to the 18th century. Each one exhibits its own individual character. We have tried, as far as possible, to restore them retaining their original features. We hope you will find them charming yet comfortable and equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own home.
On arrival you will find a “welcome basket” with provisions to get you going, including - tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, jam and some snacks plus a bottle of wine. We also ensure each gite has soap, toilet rolls, kitchen cleaning essentials and washing powder. So you don’t have to cart these along with you.
All bed linen and towels are included in the price of your gite. A hair dryer is also supplied for your convenience.
Wireless Broadband is available in the Hamlet free of charge. There is also use of a laptop, should you not bring your own, if you feel the need to log on.
Facilities are also available for young children by prior arrangement, including cot bed, highchair, stair gates, toys, etc. It all helps keep your luggage weight down for the plane or make space in your car, for extra wine and cheese for your return trip home!
We also offer a four course dinner on arrival night served to you in your gite. After a hectic day travelling it enables you to relax and settle in without having to worry about the evening meal. Wherever possible the ingredients are local or home produced. Charges are €25 for adults and €15 for children under 12 and includes a bottle of local wine. The arrival dinner can be booked in advance on the booking form.
Le Pigeonnier (sleeps 8)
Le Pigeonnier is a traditional stone farmhouse combining the charm of period features with all modern home comforts. It has a beautiful beamed farmhouse kitchen with dining area and open fireplace and is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. This leads to a spacious lounge with beamed fireplace and log burner, which you won’t need in the summer! Facilities include wireless broadband, satellite T.V. with UK free view channels, DVD player and Hi-Fi.
Upstairs there is a master double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Then there are two further bedrooms, each offering spacious accommodation for up to three people. There is also a large family bathroom with bath and shower.
Outside there is a private patio area looking out over the pool with views of surrounding countryside. There is a barbeque and patio furniture, perfect for al fresco dining.

La Longére with private 7 x 3m pool (sleeps 7)
This stone farmhouse has all its rooms on the ground floor. It has a spacious living dining kitchen area complete with stone fireplace incorporating a wood burner, the beamed ceiling is original. There is a fully fitted kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The living area includes wireless broadband, satellite T.V. with UK free view channels, DVD player and Hi-Fi.
The back stable door leads to a private 7x3m swimming pool and large private garden including a terrace with barbecue and patio furniture. There is also a hammock for extra relaxation. Note you'll still have access to the main 12x5m pool.
There is a double bedroom with beamed ceiling, a twin bedded room and a third bedroom with accommodation for three. Also there is a large family bathroom including a bath and shower. The washing machine is in a separate utility area within the bathroom. Typically for a french house the toliet is separate.

Pichoutou (Sleeps 4/5) New for 2012
Perhaps the oldest farmhouse in Boussagou. It is named after the farmer who was born there. He enlightened us with the history of the farm and hamlet. The house has many original features including a stone sink and large open fireplace. But don’t worry it does come with a modern fitted kitchen too including cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with satellite TV with UK free view channels and a French satellite if you’d like to improve your French, DVD player and Hi-Fi. This leads into a fully fitted kitchen dinner. There is also a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a shower room with toilet. There are beamed ceilings throughout.
Pichoutou has private gardens overlooking our fields and woods. The terrace area includes a barbeque and patio furniture where you can relax and watch the sun go down. Your only neighbours might be our horses who may pop their heads over the fence to say “bonjour, hello”.
Le Muguet (Sleeps 2 + 2)
This building was originally used for wine-making at Boussagou. It has been transformed into a cosy cottage with an open plan living dining and kitchen area, complete with beamed ceilings and wood burning stove. There is a bed settee providing extra sleeping accommodation if needed. The living area enjoys free wireless broadband, satellite T.V. with UK free view channels, DVD player and Hi-Fi. The kitchen includes microwave, washing machine and fridge with freezer compartment.
A wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine floor with double bedroom. We feel we should point out that the beams and ceiling are a little low and some ducking will be required. Downstairs there is a separate shower room.
French windows open up onto a private patio area overlooking our walnut orchard. This is equipped with a barbecue and dining furniture. A path leads to a car parking area and the pool.
