The Property

Boussagou (pronounced Boo-sa-goo) is a collection of three stone farmhouses and five barns. It nestles in twenty acres of pasture including a large walnut orchard. It is surrounded by beautiful forests providing endless tracks for walking, riding and mountain biking (bikes provided Free of Charge). It's also a fantastic place for bird watching. But if that sounds too energetic then relax around the 12 × 5 metre floodlit pool until the sun goes down.

A play area in the garden includes a climbing frame, swings, slide and a trampoline. There is also an indoor games room with table tennis, table football, darts and other activities to suit all ages. We can also offer a babysitting service, if you would like the opportunity to dine out without the children!

Only minutes from the property are the two picturesque villages of Marminiac and Cazals where you can buy your fresh croissants and baguettes. Haggle at the Sunday market (not to be missed) offering all sorts of fresh local produce and other goodies. There are local restaurants and bars and even a pizza takeaway (all very child friendly) and easy on the wallet. A Casino (minimarket, not gambling establishment!) also provides everything you might need, plus butchers, wine shop, hairdressers and even a museum. The surrounding area offers a huge selection of dining experiences. Alternatively if you can’t draw yourself away from this beautiful spot then you can dine at your gite with meals provided by us (subject to availability). Click here for more information.

The local tourist office in Cazals can inform you of what the area has to offer and all the variety of markets and festivals which take place here all year round. Walking down from their office will take you to the large boating lake with beach area, children’s play park and tennis courts.
